About Midori
Japanese pianist Midori Miyaoka began her piano studies at the age of three and later studied at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo with Nobuko Kondo and at the Rostock University of Music and Theater in Germany with Bernd Zack as a Rotary Ambassadorial scholar of Rotary foundation. At several master classes of international piano academy in Germany, Austria and Japan, she was taught among others by Dang Thai Son, Klaus Hellwig, Natalia Trull, Ilja Scheps, Matthias Kirschnereit, Ewa Pobłocka and others.
She graduated from Kunitachi College of Music as summa cum laude and won the “Takeoka” prize and she also gained the Master of music with the highest award and the “Kreuzer” prize at the Kunitachi College of Music.
Midori Miyaoka’s performances combine intense musicality and emotional depth with a superb technique and an intellectual rigour. Her diverse repertoire embraces a wide range of styles, from baroque to contemporary music. Currently Miyaoka gives concerts at the distinguished halls. In addition to her solo recitals, Miyaoka is an enthusiastic chamber musician.
